The historic Peekskill Central Market building, under renovation as a 3-level retail and entertainment venue, was seriously damaged by a fire Sunday, according to news reports.
Officials said the fire started about 2 a.m. No one was injured.
Developer Gabriel Arango was planning retail vendors stalls and theater space in the historic building, Joel Heumann said in a March 29, 2013 article on Patch about the renovation project.
