To reward the Peekskill City School District for implementing the Breakfast After the Bell program, a strategy of the NFL and Dairy Association's Fuel Up to Play 60 program, over 100 students and school administrators recently participated in a "thank you" dinner hosted by the Cabot Farmer's Gratitude Grill, Former Giant's Wide Receiver Amani Toomer and the American Dairy Association North East.
On October 27, students and administrators had the opportunity to meet and take photos with Amani Toomer and participate in fun physical fitness activity stations in the Peekskill High School cafeteria. The day included raffles, games and a live dj.
The NFL and Dairy Association's Fuel Up to Play 60 program is a health and wellness playbook of activities designed to help reverse the trend toward increased weight and sedentary lifestyles among America's youth. The goal of Fuel Up to Play 60 is to increase access to nutritious foods and increase physical activity in the school environment.
