Four Hen Hud Seniors are Commended Students

National Merit Commendations will be presented by principal

Principal James Mackin of Hendrick Hudson High School announced on September 30 that four students, Michael Ciulla, Madeline Cohen, Damian Pezzano, and Dana Smith, have been named Commended Students in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation will be presented by Mr. Mackin to these scholastically talented seniors.

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the United States are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. They placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). “This recognition of four high-achieving Hen Hud seniors is a testament to their hard work and commitment,” Principal Mackin said. “We couldn’t be prouder.”
