Gas Prices Expected to Dip Below $2 Per Gallon: AAA

Gas prices are at the lowest nationwide that they’ve been in years, according to the Automobile Club of America. They should soon fall below the $2 per gallon mark for the first time since 2009.
That’s nationwide, of course, though we can always hope.

In New York, the average is $2.29.
Prices at northern Westchester gas stations are all over the place, according to Gas Buddy -- from $2.19 at the Shell station in Ossining at 32 Belle Ave. & Croton Ave. to $2.79 at the Shell station on Woodbine Ave & S Greeley Ave. in Chappaqua.

Of course, you don’t have to go far to find prices under $2. Connecticut is headed there fast. Gas is down to $1.99 at several Danbury stations, such as the Mobil at 112 Newtown Rd & Pocono Rd.
