Gas Prices Rising, Still Lower than Last Year

According to AAA's Fuel Gauge Report, average gas prices have increased for 21 consecutive days.

By March 28, the average price across the USA was $2.04 per gallon -- up six cents per gallon on the week and 30 cents per gallon for the month. Looking on the bright side, AAA points out that despite the recent increase, average gas prices remain 39 cents per gallon less than a year ago.

In the New York metro area, the average price is $2.232, compared to $2.168 a week ago, according to AAA.
