'Goat Trail' Closures Coming Monday, Tuesday

To get to the Bear Mountain Bridge from Annsville Circle or vice versa, you'll have to go around.

The daytime closure of US Route 6/State Route 202 (Highland Avenue/Bear Mountain Bridge Rd) between Route 9D (the Bear Mountain Bridge) and Route 9 (Annsville Circle) that began last week will continue into next week so that crews may perform construction activities, weather permitting.

Next week’s closures will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 27 and 28.

  • The detour for eastbound motorists will include traveling north on Route 9D to Route 403 east to Route 9 south to Annsville circle.
  • The detour for westbound motorists will include traveling north on Route 9 to Route 403 west to Route 9D south to the Bear Mountain Bridge.

Expect delays!

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices, including work zone signs.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
