Grand Jury Indicted Truck Driver In Tracy Morgan-Uncle Jimmy Mack Crash
Kevin Roper was indicted on vehicular homicide, aggravated manslaughter, and aggravated assault charges in the 2014 crash.

A grand jury on Wednesday indicted the truck driver who crashed into a limo van in 2014, killing comedian James McNair and severely injuring comedian Tracy Morgan, the Associated Press reported.
Kevin Roper was charged with first-degree aggravated manslaughter, second-degree vehicular homicide, and third-degree aggravated assault charges in the 2014 crash, the report stated.

Roper was driving a Wal-Mart truck June 7 when the truck he was driving crashed into the back of the limo on the New Jersey Turnpike. Morgan was critically injured and โUncle Jimmy Mackโ died in the crash. McNair, 62, was an well-known Peekskill resident who was active in the community.
An investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) concluded in August that Roper had not slept for the previous 28 hours before the crash occurred.The investigation concluded that Roper failed to slow down immediately following the crash despite the fact that there were signsย posted on the turnpike to do so, the AP reported.

Morgan and other passengers in the limo were not wearing their seat belts when the crash occurred, which, the NHSB contributed to the severity of their injuires.
