Peekskill, NY – New York State Senator Pete Harckham delivered several hundred much-needed protective masks last week to the Cortlandt Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Montrose and the Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Harckham’s deliveries came after he joined Westchester County Executive George Latimer in dropping off boxes of protective masks at City Hall in Peekskill, where they were greeted by Mayor Andre Rainey, Deputy Mayor Vivian McKenzie and Westchester County Legislator Colin Smith.

“The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has caused our local municipalities and first responders to use thousands of masks and gloves and all kinds of personal protective equipment in just a few months’ time,” said Harckham. “Through Westchester’s Office of Emergency Management, we have been able to resupply folks, for which we thank the County Executive and his team. We will continue to communicate with everyone to ensure they have what they need. The response and efforts made by our first responders during this health emergency has been remarkable.
