From Hendrick Hudson School District: The Hendrick Hudson School District has named Lisa Schuchman as its new Executive Director of Pupil Personnel Services. Schuchman brings 20 years of experience to the position, and she most recently served as Director for the Center of Special Programs at Southern Westchester BOCES. Her background includes serving as principal and other leadership roles at a number of elementary, middle and high schools in New York State.

“I am excited to join the Hendrick Hudson administrative team and look forward to working collaboratively with families, students and staff to provide the highest quality opportunities and programs for our students,” Schuchman said. “Open communication and positive productive dialogue provide for a strong foundation; I look forward to meeting families, and my door is always open.”

During her tenure at BOCES, Schuchman oversaw seven different locations throughout Westchester County, collaborating with administrators, clinical staff, related service providers and district staff members. She has worked to develop community work-based learning relationships for students, both on and off campus; increased special education classes based on district needs; developed and implemented an Intensive Day Treatment Program for elementary students; and implemented research-based reading and math curricula.
