High Heat, Bad Air, Heavy Rain In The Hudson Valley Forecast
The NWS issued two separate hazardous weather outlooks. Here are the details.

There are two different hazardous weather outlooks issued for the Hudson Valley.
First, it's hot enough that the National Weather Service added a hazardous weather outlook to its heat advisory for Tuesday, July 30 for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.
Second, the NWS said the heat advisory for Dutchess and Ulster counties is in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and it issued a hazardous outlook for thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening and all day Wednesday.

Thunderstorms will be capable of producing very heavy rainfall, which may lead to flooding of urban, low lying and poor drainage areas. In addition, thunderstorms this afternoon and evening may produce gusty winds, with some isolated thunderstorms possibly severe with damaging winds and hail.
There is a chance of thunderstorms Wednesday. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing very heavy rainfall, which may lead to flooding of urban, low lying and poor drainage areas. In addition, thunderstorms on Wednesday may produce gusty winds, with the best chance of isolated severe thunderstorms with damaging winds from the eastern Catskills, to southern VT, the Berkshires and northwestern Connecticut.
Plus, there's an air quality advisory for Rockland and Westchester, because pollution levels are elevated.
The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young and those with pre existing respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician.
