Hillcrest Elementary Holds Can Sculpture Contest Following Food Drive
Hillcrest students collected almost 1,600 non-perishable food items during their Food Drive and then held a Can Sculpture Contest.
Students at Hillcrest Elementary collected almost 1,600 non-perishable food items during their Annual Food Dive which was recently held at the school. Following the collection, the School Leadership Club hosted a Can Sculpture Contest in which each homeroom class was asked to construct a design out of the items they had brought in.
While Ms. Sandomir’s class collected the most items at 204 donations, the big winner of the sculpture contest was Ms. Kearse’s class with their Hillcrest Hawks football stadium.
After the contest all of the donations were made into Thanksgiving baskets that were raffled off to Hillcrest families.
Congratulations Ms. Kearse’s class!
