Hollywood Stars Ordering Jewels from Walter Panas Graduate
Nita Blum's dreams have come true by sharing her jewelry with people all over the country.
When Nita Blum graduated from in 2001, she never imagined that 11 years later, celebrities would be wearing her custom-made jewelry. After graduating from Temple University, Blum moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television.
“For the first few years, I worked in both wardrobe and editing before switching gears to start my own jewelry line,” said Blum. “But I have always considered myself an artist – focusing on everything from painting to fashion to music and film.”
Ever since Blum was a young girl, she had a fascination with jewelry and would often look through her mother’s jewelry box seeing at all the different pieces. After a friend invited her to an artisan jewelry design workshop, she was “hooked”. “I was looking for something hands-on where I could fully realize my creativity,” said Blum.

Blum is currently living in Marina del Rey, California, where she believes that the “Southern California’s laid back lifestyle and natural beauty” influenced her free-spirited beach boho feel. “I try to use locally sourced natural gem stones and gold materials, and maintain Eco-friendly practices when packaging and shipping the jewelry,” said Blum.
Her newest adventure was being accepted into The Artisan Group, an exclusive organization that chooses handmade artists and gives them the opportunity to have their work be worn by celebrities. “So far, Jenny McCarthy and Nia Peeples both have my work,” said Blum.

“It makes me smile just knowing people all over are wearing and enjoying designs that were created with my two hands and artistic passion,” said Blum.
