Housekeeper Faces Charges in ID Theft Case

Police allege the Buchanan resident took a credit card from her employer.

New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Sandrine A. Gracio, 33, for Forgery 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, and Identity Theft 2nd Degree, Class E Felonies.

In January of 2015, Troopers were dispatched to investigate a fraud complaint. The victim reported that her credit card had been used in several businesses located in Peekskill. Following a detailed investigation it was discovered that Gracio, who worked in the victim’s home as a housekeeper, had used the victim’s credit card charging in excess of $860 in December of 2014 and in January of 2015.

The Buchanan resident was arraigned before the City of Peekskill Court Aug. 20 and was released after posting $2,500 bail. She is scheduled to reappear in the City of Peekskill Court on Sept. 17.
