San Fransisco Giant second baseman Joe Panik’s two double-plays in the seventh game of the World Series kept the Kansas City Royals at bay.
CBSsports called the first one “a sparkling double play.”
The rookie’s two triples in the postseason put him in the record books.

And winning the World Series in Game 7 was a very personal kind of celebration, pointed out Sean T. McMann of the Poughkeepsie Journal, because Panik just turned 24. Literally.
The PoJo has been following Panik for a long time. The ballplayer grew up in Hopewell Junction and graduated from John Jay High School in 2008. He is a former Poughkeepsie Journal Player of the Year, and the newspaper has been charting his journey into the Show.
