HV Gateway Chamber Foundation Scholarship Deadline April 22 2022

The application deadline to apply for the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce Foundation 2022 Scholarships is 3pm on Friday, April 22, 2022.

There are four new vocational scholarships being awarded this year as well, in addition to the six High School scholarships.

The $1,000 scholarship awards are given to high school seniors pursuing an advanced-level education from Croton-Harmon, Hendrick Hudson, Lakeland, Peekskill, Putnam Valley, and Walter Panas High Schools. Applications are available at www.hvgatewaychamber.com/schol... or individual school guidance counselor offices. Recipients are selected based on academic record, leadership, extracurricular activities in school and/or community, honors, awards, or recognition and work experience. Scholarships are awarded on a non-discriminatory basis.

The four $1,000 Career & Technical Education and Workforce Development scholarships will be awarded, two to senior high school students attending BOCES and two to adult learners pursuing workforce development training at Westchester Community College or other higher education institutions in the Hudson Valley. Those living in Croton-On-Hudson, Town of Cortlandt, City of Peekskill, Town of Putnam Valley, or Town of Yorktown are eligible to apply. The scholarships can be used for tuition, books, materials, and fees associated with the recipient’s chosen area of study and could include, but is not limited to, college credit certificate programs, degree granting programs or short-term workforce programs (non-degree seeking).

“We are delighted to expand our vocational scholarship awards, while continuing the tradition of awarding scholarships to the next generation of leaders. Our annual scholarship winners—ten in all this year—are the future business owners, elected officials, doctors, teachers and plumbers of tomorrow. We are thrilled to support their dreams,” said Deb Milone, President, Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce.

The deadline for application submission is Friday, April 22, 2022 at 3pm. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

The online application can be downloaded and completed from the chamber's website by clicking on the Gateway Foundation tab near the top of the chamber's home page. Applications and online instructions are also available in each high school guidance office.

The scholarships are funded from proceeds from The Tommy Bertoline Scholarship Golf Outing, which was established to support the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber Foundation
Scholarship Fund. The event is named after Tommy Bertoline, a beloved past board member of the Chamber and golf committee member who dedicated his life to the community and to youth sports. He was also an executive at D. Bertoline & Sons.
