Lakeland Board Of Education To Host Four Budget Work Sessions

From Lakeland Central School District: The Board of Education will hold the first budget work session on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the District Office. Topics for the Jan. 5 meeting include Dr. Stone's presentation of the 2017-2018 Preliminary Budget and the Operation and Maintenance, Transportation, and General Support budgets. There will be four budget meetings from January through April. All budget work sessions begin at 7:00 pm.

The remaining budget schedule is:

• February 2, 2017 - Debt Service, Technology and Employee Benefits budgets
• March 2, 2017 - Instructional, BOCES and Special Education budgets
• April 6, 2017 - Finalize and adopt 2017-2018 Educational Plan and Budget

The Administration Building is located at 1086 East Main Street in Shrub Oak. The budget meeting is open to the public and discussion is permitted on budget topics.
