Laura G. Neier Named Assistant Principal at Hen Hud H.S.
Introduction to a new assistant principal at Hendrick Hudson High School
Laura G. Neier has been named an Assistant Principal of Hendrick Hudson High School, effective July 23.
Neier brings with her a variety of experiences in the educational world. She most recently came from the Blind Brook-Rye Unified Free School District, where she served as the interim assistant principal for both the middle and high school. Prior to working in Westchester, she worked as a clinical supervisor for Pace University and a professor of education for University of Phoenix’s online program. Additionally, Neier spent ten years with the New York City Department of Education working as a teacher and an assistant principal, first as a member of the New York City Teaching Fellows and then as a founding member of World Journalism Preparatory School (a 6-12 public school in Flushing, NY).

training teachers, building leaders, and district leaders on the city and state’s new Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) plan.
She is passionate about student learning and hopes to play a pivotal role in providing an educational experience for all students of Hendrick Hudson that not only creates a solid foundation for a strong future, but also supports students’ emotional and intellectual needs.

Neier holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Maryland in College Park, a Master of Arts in English Education from CUNY Brooklyn College, and earned her New York State School and District Leader certifications through the Leadership Academy at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She lives in Mohegan Lake with her husband and two children.
