Westchester Families Get Lessons on Healthier Eating!
It has been proven time and time again that eating healthier meals makes a healthier person. This is a no brainer but for some reason many still think eating faster and cheaper is better. By “faster” we are referring to the Fast-Food restaurant chains.. There are alternatives that are a bit slower, but well worth the wait.
August 28, 2015 – PEEKSKILL, NY – Donna Douglass, Natural Foods Chef and Culinary Instructor is teaching Westchester Families and Business’s how to eat healthy without spending all day cooking and within their budget. The following classes are armed to inspire by creating more fun and less stress in the kitchen. By teaching individuals how to make healthier choices in the food they prepare, Chef Donna's culinary experience also helps people promote wellness and prevent illness! A win-win situation.
A 3 hour cooking lesson from Donna in your home or office will teach you more than just recipes. It's really about professional, healthy cooking techniques you can use on your own. Participants can take many other classes as well; from learning how to stock a healthier pantry and how to incorporate more locally sourced ingredients to eating with the seasons and embracing more plant based diets. In addition, classes such as Spice, Flavor and Herbs will help students learn how to take their cooking skills to an entirely new and higher level.

About What’s Cooking and Owner, Donna Douglass, Natural Foods Chef/Culinary Instructor
What’s Cooking was founded in 2000 out of a memory of Donna’s childhood growing up with an Italian grandmother who loved to garden and prepare all her meals from fresh ingredients. Growing up, mealtime was with family around the dinner table enjoying good conversation and savoring homemade Italian Specialties. From this experience, Donna’s passion for food and teaching grew out of this childhood memory. The business grew over the years servicing several families and busy professionals, weekly, with occasional dinner parties and cooking classes throughout the month.
The business shifted in 2009 when Donna graduated from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition and at the same time was dealing with a health crisis which she found a cure for in 2010. Since then, the business now has embarked on a shift from providing purely personal chef services to including assisting families and business with special dietary needs through health coaching, cooking instruction to wellness events.
