Loud Exhaust Stop Sends Peekskill Man to Jail for DWI, Driving Without License
His license had been suspended due to a previous drunk-driving arrest, police said.

Peekskill, NY — State police arrested a Peekskill man Sunday on charges that include driving drunk.
Darrow F. Crosby, 50, was stopped in the City of Peekskill because, police said, his vehicle had a loud exhaust.

Subsequent investigation found he was intoxicated at the time, police said, adding that his driving privileges had been suspended due to a previous DWI-related arrest.

Crosby provided a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent, police said.
He was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a felony, and driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

Crosby was arraigned in the Town of Yorktown Court and sent to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail or $25,000 bond.
