Lucky Rescue For Woman Who Fell In Hole In Her Yard

BUCHANAN, NY — Her home health aide found her. Then it took a lot of emergency responders to hold back the collapsing walls of the hole she fell in, and help her out.

The elderly Ketcham Avenue resident had apparently gone outside Wednesday to check on a 5-foot hole in her yard. She was worried about what state it was in after all the rain.

It had held an underground tank and may also have been used for water run-off, Buchanan Police Chief Brian Tubbs told the Daily Voice.
