MEGA-DUO "ET CETER4" TO HEADLINE ELECTRONICA 1.3 IN PEEKSKILL ON MAY 16

Peekskill's eclectic monthly music series continues to define it as the electronic music epicenter of the Hudson Valley.

Peekskill, NY is quickly becoming a mecca for electronic music and musicians of all genres. There’s no better way to see that than by attending one of the monthly Electronica 1.x (aka E1.x) shows at Peekskill’s low-key, high-quality performance space called EMBARK located at 925 South Street, between the iconic Peekskill Coffee House and the popular and delicious Gleason’s bar and restaurant.

This month’s show features Manhattan-based ambient electronic rock mega-duo ET CETER4 – yes, that’s a ‘4’. Anthony James Padavano and Gabriel Ruiz make up the band that in the words of E1.x artistic director Kevin Michael Winterfield, “create amazing pieces of sound and energy unrivaled in the space.”

“Their last work, OGOD, was a masterwork. Thirty songs that tell an auditory story from start to end. It reminds me of the great works of Pink Floyd, Radiohead, and Genesis – but in its own unique way. I’m really excited to have them headlining May’s show on the 16th.”

Also on the bill is Unigen, a solo musician from NYC via Washington and Montana who wraps himself in a jetpack of electronic gadgets – a modern day, hi-tech one-man band – who puts out quirky, layered poptronic sounds and rhythms. “I’ve never seen anything like this before. Uniqen is one-of-a-kind! Don’t miss his performance.” says Winterfield.

Rounding out the players on this month’s show is Symmetry, an artist from Wingdale, NY who uses knob-saturated synthesizers (little boxes of sound goodness) to paint unique soundscapes that’ll put you in a ethereal trance.

The show kicks off with an original poem from Peekskill’s beat poet, Hari Edgar Palacio.

Backing up the acts are visuals by Peekskill’s own projection specialist, Gene Panczenko. The entire series is produced by EMBARK co-founders Katie Schmidt-Feder and Sol Miranda.

If you love electronic music that puts you in a wonderfully meditative state or are just electro-curious, stop on by EMBARK at 925 South Street in Peekskill on May 16th at 8 pm. Tickets are only $10.
