CORTLANDT, NY — New York State Police report at noon Saturday that a moose was struck by a vehicle in the town of Cortlandt.
Troopers found the moose on Route 9 near the Welcher Avenue interchange. The moose had apparently been injured in a collision.
The moose had to be put down because of its injuries, police said.
