Oakside Elementary Pitches in to Help Keep Peekskill Park Beautiful

Oakside students, teachers and parents recently ventured out to Peekskill’s Riverfront Green Park to help clean up the area as part of the school’s community service activity. Though the weather wasn’t ideal, nothing could discourage the clean-up crew from staying focused on their task.

“We were so pleased to see the turn out,” said Oakside Grade 2 Teacher Kanika McLamb. “Parents and students working together to keep the parks clean, it’s a wonderful thing.”
