Oakside Elementary Strings Students, PHS City Singers to Open for 'America’s Got Talent' Violinist, SVET at Paramount Show

World famous hip-hop violinist SVET, better known for his performance on NBC’s hit television show America’s Got Talent, will be coming to Peekskill’s Paramount Theater on Tuesday, May 30 at 6:30 p.m. and for this show, he will be joined by some very special guests.

SVET’s, “Dare to Dream” concert will feature student talent from Peekskill City School District throughout the evening. The show will open with a performance by the Peekskill High School City Singers, followed by a collaborative piece between SVET and twenty members of the Oakside Elementary Strings program.

Westchester’s own hometown talent, Gabrielle Sansone, will also make an appearance at the show.

As stated on the artist’s website, SVET is noted as one of the most profound and unique acts of this generation, and is globally recognized for his incredible talent to recreate music and songs of today with his violin. SVET has shared stages with iconic stars, including: Kanye West, Jamie Foxx, Phillip Phillips, Ceelo Green and The Black Keys.

The event is being hosted by the Emerald Peek Rehabilitation Center in Peekskill, with a portion of the proceeds from the evening going to support the Peekskill City School District’s Performing Arts program.
