Panas Tennis Team, Undefeated League Champions, Saluted by Lakeland Board of Education

Congratulations to the Walter Panas High School Tennis Team for a great season!

The Lakeland Central School District Board of Education saluted the Walter Panas High School Girls’ Tennis Team at its November 20 Board of Education meeting.

The team finished their regular season undefeated for the first time in team history while securing the Conference I, League B title with a record of 15-0.

“The team’s success can be attributed to depth and unity on the squad. Everyone believed in each other and supported one another. Each member of the team contributed at least one victory this season,” said Coach Santa Trawick who has coached the team for 13 years.

This was first time the team took the title alone. The team tied for first in the league in 2007 and 2012.

  • Sophomores: Mya Lipscomb, Serena Stevenson
  • Freshman: Kellie Brown
