Peekskill Cops Say Resident is Habitual Thief

Among the items he is alleged to have stolen recently: BMX bikes, a Razor mini-bike, a power washer and a vehicle speaker box.

Peekskill resident Keith Holmes, 26, faces charges of grand larceny, petty larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

That's from his most recent arrest on Friday, according to the Peekskill Post.

Police searching for a Razor MX electric mini bike and two BMX bicycles reported stolen May 2, said they discovered Holmes selling a Razor through social media. With help from Yorktown police, they set up a sting and, they allege, caught Holmes with the Razor. Afterward, they found four BMX bicycles and a vehicle speaker box that had been reported stolen. They said Holmes also confessed to taking a power washer from a Peekskill residence in April.

“He is a thief and he does not get it,” Peekskill police Lt. John White told Bryan Fumigalli of the Peekskill Post. “I mean we have arrested this guy so many times in the past but it just doesn’t seem to sink in. He usually goes out at night and we don’t think he is going to stop, so we thought we’d bring it to the attention of residents.”
