The Peekskill varsity girls basketball squad is the defending state Class A champion and will put up on the decorated walls of the its state title banner before today's opener against visiting R.C. Ketcham at 4:45 p.m.
Peekskill will be led by all-state senior guard , who will be playing at Hofstra next season.

Taylor coming back
Henry Taylor is returning to face his old coach, Peekskill boss Lou Panzanaro, when his boys basketball team, Lincoln Hall, will play at PHS tonight at 6:15 p.m.
Taylor played for the 1993 Red Devil squad which won a sectional championship.
Taylor and his Lincoln Hall squad earned the annual Dennis T. Hurlie Sportsmanship Award from the Westchester County officials association last year.
