Peekskill Farmers Market Seeks New Manager
Peekskill BID Launches Search for Creative Visionary to Manage Farmers Market

The Peekskill Business Improvement District is seeking a qualified individual or firm with creativity and vision to manage the 2020 Peekskill Farmers Market.
“With an enduring 30-year history, this is a fantastic opportunity to manage the premier farmers market in Northern Westchester County. It is one of Peekskill's most popular initiatives that draws people from all over into our historic downtown while providing residents direct access to healthy food sources,” said Peekskill Business Improvement President Brian Fassett.
The Peekskill Farmers Market is an institution that has served the community with fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods, as well as organic options, including fish, chicken, pork, and other meat and meatless options. There are specialty items, gourmet favorites, and prepared food for sale as well.

The Peekskill Farmers Market is the Saturday morning destination, and throughout its history, the market has served as a community gathering place where neighbors could chat with each other and newcomers could meet new friends. This year, of course, will be with social distancing guidelines in place.
The BID oversees the market, provides marketing and advertising support, acts as a liaison to the City of Peekskill and the downtown business community, and selects and hires a consultant to manage weekly tasks and on-site operations of the market.
