Peekskill To Hold Hearings On Pot Sales, On-Site Usage
If the city decides to opt-out, it doesn't mean it can't reverse its decision in the future.

PEEKSKILL, NY โ Peekskill has scheduled two public hearings on the future of cannabis products in the city.
The hearings will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Council Chambers.
The first hearing will be on a proposed local law to opt-out of establishing retail cannabis dispensaries in the city of Peekskill.

Municipalities were told they could opt-out of allowing marijuana-selling and on-site usage in businesses. The decision to opt-out must be made before Dec. 31. Otherwise, dispensaries can go ahead and set up shop.
Opting out doesn't mean the municipality can't, at a later date, decide to allow selling and on-site usage businesses.
