Peekskill Man Charged with DWI After 1-Car Crash Near Roa Hook Road

Paulo Pilco Rivas, 31, of Peekskill faces a charge of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.

While conducting routine patrol, state troopers encountered a one-car collision in the area of Route 6 and Roa Hook Road at about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 17.

They allege that Pilco Rivas, the driver, was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Pilco Rivas supplied a positive breath sample that yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .19%, more than two times the legal limit of intoxication, police said.

He was released on station bail and ordered to appear before the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court on Oct. 24.
