PEEKSKILL, NY — After two years of construction, Peekskill's new central firehouse has opened. The $12 million facility, which is located at 1141 Main St., houses six fire companies.
The grand opening for the 30,300-square-foot two-story building was held Wednesday, the Journal News said.
A statement from the city said that any emergency in Peekskill can be reached from the new facility in about three minutes.
