Peekskill Resident Receives Honorary Knighthood from Queen Elizabeth

The program director for the Port Authority, he has hosted the royal family's visits to the World Trade Center site since 9/11.

Glenn Guzi, the program director for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, has received an honorary knighthood from Queen Elizabeth.

The Journal News reports Guzi, 47, was named an honorary member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

The Peekskill resident, who met Prince Charles in 1990 when studying in London, has hosted tours of the World Trade Center site since 9/11 for members of the royal family, among many world leaders and diplomats.

He told TJN reporter Jorge Fitzgibbon that "it was just an evolving, ongoing relationship that over 15 years really developed into something much more..."
