Fire on Fremont Street Destroyed Building
Departments around the city helped Peekskill firefighters attack the blaze.
According to the Peekskill Daily Voice, the building on fire on Fremont Street was destroyed.
Peekskill Mayor Frank Catalina said the city’s career and volunteer firefighters did a good job under difficult conditions, the Daily Voice said.

A structure fire in Peekskill involved all four floors of a residential building on Fremont Street, according to multiple sources.
“10-75 3rd Alarm City of Peekskill 141-145 Fremont Street, multiple M/A departments operating 4 story multiple, heavy fire all floors, all sides” -- Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department Engine 119, with a crew of 12 interior firefighters, posted at 7:49PM that they were standing by in the City of Peekskill.

Peekskill FD - as well as several Mutual Aid companies - are operating at a large structure fire on Freemont Street with a report of a trapped occupant, Croton fire officials said.
