Peekskill Towers Residents Talk with City about Water Woes

The question, officials said, is who is responsible for what.

PEEKSKILL, NY, — Most of the occupants of Peekskill Towers on Lakeview Drive signed a petition asking Peekskill officials to fix their water problems — which range from low water pressure to a complete lack of water several times a day, The Examiner News reports.

One resident told the Common Council he was concerned about the safety of residents in first responders if fire should break out, the paper said.

The city's new water manager is looking into the situation with the water system, The Examiner said. Mayor Frank Catalina said the city would meet its legal obligations.
