Peekskill's Debra Martinez Receives Social Justice Award
Peekskill High School student Debra Martinez received the Social Justice Award presented by the African American Men of Westchester.
Congratulations to Peekskill High School student Debra Martinez, who was the recipient of the Social Justice Award at the 17th Annual Legacy Youth Awards Luncheon sponsored by the African American Men of Westchester. The event, which honored the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King was held on January 13 in Tarrytown, NY.
The Social Justice Award is given to a student who upholds a standard of integrity and focuses on the pursuit of fairness, justice and the equitable distribution of resources for all. Martinez receives a plaque of honor in addition to a $1000 check.
