Peekskill's Field Library to host Opiate Addiction Seminar
The Field Library teams up with HRH Care to provide understanding in " Opioid Use: Disorder, Treatment, and Hope. "

On April 26, 2018 at 6pm, the Field Library and Hudson River Healthcare present Opioid Use: Disorder, Treatment, and Hope. Dr. Laura Pareso Houston of HRH Care will present a talk with time for questions and answers at the end of the session.
Opioids are narcotic medications which may be prescribed by a medical provider to manage pain. They are also found in street drugs, such as heroin, opium, and illegally produced fentanyl. Opioids slow down the body function, reduce physical pain, and mask psychological pain.

What is Medication Assisted Treatment?
