Peekskill's MLK Day Interfaith Worship Service Set For 3PM
This is the 34th year the Peekskill Area Pastors Association has sponsored the event to invoke the spirit of Dr. King's 'beloved community."
PEEKSKILL, NY—The 34th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Interfaith Worship Service will take place at 3 p.m. Monday at the historic Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Peekskill. Sponsored by the Peekskill Area Pastor’s Association, the service brings together people of different faiths and invokes the spirit of Dr. King’s ‘beloved community.”
In addition to MOBC, this year’s participants will include from members of Temple of Israel, Reformed Temple of Putnam, Michael Simpkins (Mount Lebanon Baptist Church), Bria Waterman and GDX who will offer an array of musical and dance tributes paying homage to the legacy of Dr King.
The guest celebrant is Minister Micah T. Benson of Mount Olivet Baptist Church.
