Pickup Smashes Fence, Drops Into House In Peekskill Crash

PEEKSKILL, NY — A two-car crash at 8 a.m. Wednesday sent a pickup truck into a house and one person to the hospital with traumatic injuries.

Peekskill police, ambulance corps, fire department and Cortlandt Peekskill Regional Paramedics responded to a call about a car crashing into a building at the intersection of North Division and Phoenix. When they arrived they saw it was a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident.

In the accident, a pickup truck apparently crashed over a chain-link fence and down into the side of an apartment.

No extractions were needed.

One person was taken to a trauma center for further care, ambulance corps officials said.
