Police: Man Stole, Used Dead Veteran's Credit Cards
The spending spree exceeded $13,000.

A VA employee is accused of racking up more than $13,000 worth of charges to a dead veteranβs credit and debit cards in the past six months.
Now the Yonkers man, who worked at the Montrose Campus of the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System facility is under arrest.
Facing a felony charge of first-degree identity theft is Tory Washington, 41, who was arrested April 17.

The victim lived at the Montrose VA and died in October 2014.
State police allege that Washington used the dead manβs credit/debit cards many times throughout Westchester County.

Washington was arrested April 17.
To date, the charges have exceeded $13,000, state police said. The investigation into how the defendant obtained the victimβs credit/debit cards and social security number is continuing with assistance from the Montrose VA Police.
Washington was arraigned before the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail without bail.
