Question of the Day: What 90s Nickelodeon Show Do You Want Back?
On Monday night, Teen Nickelodeon started nightly airings of a two-hour block of their 90s programming called "The '90s Are All That." The programing starts at mid-night every night.
Nickelodeon's summer interns made the suggestion to the network based off of feedback from Facebook. There was no DVR or On Demand in the 90s. The return of these childhood shows brings back memories of a different era of television and technology. When these shows were popular you had use a bulky video tape to record them, Facebook was a more than a decade away and the word iPod would have sounded more like the name of an alien universe then something to which you could download music and television shows.
For me it brings back personal memories of gathering with my family to watch Are You Afraid of the Dark on Saturday nights over a bowl of popcorn, rooting for Doug to win over Patty Mayonaise, and taking fashion direction from Melissa Joan Hart's outfits in Clarissa Explains It All.
