Rain and Snow to Make Messy Hudson Valley Commute Friday
Part of the Hudson Valley could get 6 inches of snow!

Looks as if Friday could be a messy commute, due to the incoming fronts expected to bring a wintry mix to much of the Hudson Valley.
It's an iffy forecast, because whether we get cold rain or snow and rain in the Hudson Valley Thursday night through Friday is going to depend on just how cold it gets up in the clouds and down on the ground.
"It’s going to be a very fine line… any time you are dealing with temperatures in the mid 30s, at the end of March," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

And it's not going to accumulate anywhere except in the Catskills. which could get a couple of inches of wet snow. For the rest of us, expect some wet snow mixed with rain falling near and north of I-84 and mostly rain south of I-84.

Rain will overspread the area late tonight into early Friday morning...with a chilly wind swept rain continuing through Friday Night. This rain may mix with sleet...freezing rain and even snow at times...across interior portions of the Tri-state. A light slushy accumulation is possible...particularly across higher elevations...by Saturday morning. Any precipitation should taper off during the day Saturday.
