13-Year-Old Girl Bites Robber And Sex Abuser, Gets Away: Police
He threw her on the ground and touched her after demanding money, police say, before she bit him and ran home. He was arrested soon after.

ST. CHARLES, IL β A 13-year-old St. Charles girl fought off a would-be robber Dec. 11 at about 4 p.m., according to a press release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office. Police were dispatched to the 34W500 block of Colley Drive in St. Charles on a report of an attempted robbery.
Soon afterwards, officers from the Kane County Forest Preserve were able to find a subject matching the description of the offender and held him until deputies arrived, the press release said. The suspect, 43-year-old Javier Prado of the 7800 block of South Yates Boulevard in Chicago, is in custody.
The 13-year-old girl was walking home from her bus stop when a male confronted her and told her to give him money. He then threw her onto the ground and touched her. She bit him and ran home; he left the scene.

Prado was charged with one count of attempted robbery, a class three felony, and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a class two felony. He was brought to the Kane County Adult Justice Center.
