The New York State School Boards Association recognizes October 23-27 as School Board Recognition Week.

The New York State School Boards Association recognizes October 23-27 as School Board Recognition Week. This is a time to promote awareness and understanding of the important work performed by school board members. Peekskill City School District is joining all public school districts across the state to celebrate School Board Recognition Week to honor local board members for their commitment to Peekskill and its children
“A strong community is built off strong schools, and these board members dedicate countless hours to make sure all of our students are afforded every opportunity to excel in their educational careers,” said Peekskill Interim Superintendent Ms. Mary Keenan Foster. “Our board members make tough decisions every month and spend many hours studying education issues and regulations in order to provide the kind of accountability our citizens expect, while also giving our community a voice in the process of educational decision making.”
The Board of Education members serving the Peekskill City School District are as follows:

The Peekskill City School District thanks the Peekskill Parent-Teacher Organization for recognizing Board members by providing refreshments for the Board’s executive meeting on Tuesday, October 24.
