Madye Jackson, 87, a longtime Peekskill resident, passed away on December 18, 2014.
Born on April 6, 1927 in Inman, SC, daughter of the late William McKenzie & Aley Thompson McKenzie. On June 29, 1947 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Peekskill, she married John W. Jackson, Jr., who predeceased her on October 7, 1993.
She has been a longtime member of Mt. Olivet Baptist.

Madye worked for many years at the Marrs Nursing Home in Mohegan Lake, until retiring. She was an avid reader and walker.
Madye is survived by her 4 children: John W. Jackson, 3rd, Gail Jackson, June Kersey, Crystal Moss; and also her 3 grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held 11am, Tuesday, December 23rd at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Rev. G. Franklin Wiggins Plz., Peekskill, followed by interment in the Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
