Storms Passing Through Hudson Valley

Do not drive through flooded roads, the National Weather Service warns.

The National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement at 2:56 p.m. Thursday about severe thunderstorms that could affect southeastern Orange County plus Rockland, Putnam and Westchester.

At 256 PM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Bethel to near Sloatsburg. Movement was east at 15 mph.
Locations impacted include...New City, Ossining, Peekskill, Southbury, New Canaan, Monsey, Nanuet
and Ringwood.
Locally heavy rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
