The National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement at 2:56 p.m. Thursday about severe thunderstorms that could affect southeastern Orange County plus Rockland, Putnam and Westchester. <blockquote>At 256 PM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Bethel to near Sloatsburg. Movement was east at 15 mph.</blockquote> <blockquote>Locations impacted include...New City, Ossining, Peekskill, Southbury, New Canaan, Monsey, Nanuet and Ringwood.</blockquote> <blockquote>Locally heavy rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.</blockquote>

Month-to-month flexible car lease company opens New York hub in Larchmont to serve surrounding communities
<a href="https://www.flexcar.com/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Flexcar</a>, the first and only month-to-month car lease company, today announced its expansion into New York State with the opening of its New York hub in Larchmont. The launch grows Flexcar&rsquo;s East Coast footprint and makes its flexible car leases accessible to drivers across the greater New York area.
