New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks charged Matthew Ashley, 27, with Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.
Troopers stopped a vehicle traveling on Route 9 in Peekskill on Sept. 6. They allege it was traveling in excess of 80 miles per hour. After investigation police concluded that the driver, who identified himself as Ashley, was intoxicated.
The Peekskill resident supplied a positive breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .10 percent. He was released and directed to appear before the City of Peekskill Court on Sept. 24.
