Ted Bitter of Bean Runner Cafe
Ted Bitter, the man behind Bean Runner Café, was born in Jamaica, and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He opened his shop in Peekskill in September of 2008, and since that time the establishment has been the home to great live Jazz music on the weekends, as well as a variety of ongoing art shows, not to mention a killer cup of coffee. The menu at Bean Runner Café also offers hungry customers a delicious mix of 3 daily soups, salads, and over 13 different sandwiches (and that’s not including breakfast ones).

Perhaps one of the most unique features of BRC is the children’s room attached to the café’s serving area. Equipped with toys and crafts for kids, the room ensures parents can enjoy a cup or bite while their kids have some fun too.
Bitter states, “My ideas [for the café] grow as the demands change,” and with all of this greatness already at BRC, who knows what excitement is next to come.
