The Hudson: Water Playground for Adults

Charles Point Marina, Hudson River Recreation and the Croton Sailing School offer some of the best water sports in the Hudson Valley Region. The Journal News’ Karen Croke’s coverage of the water activities to try in the area covered all three, as well other places in the region where you can jet ski, kayak, scuba dive and more.

New York City Water Ski and Wakeboard School and Yachting Adventures at Charles Point Marina in Peekskill offers wake surfing. You can surf off of the owners’ Mastercraft 205 or tube or water-ski off a smaller boat. The owners usually choose to ski around the Bear Mountain Bridge because they find the best water there, according to the article.. The instructors are certified by the U.S. Coast Guard, and the boats include a cabin with air conditioning, refrigerators, a bathroom and even a shower. For $190 an hour you can enjoy it all.
