Theft of 5 Video Game Controllers Results in 2 Arrests

A young man and woman are charged with theft from the Yorktown Toys R Us.

Verplanck resident Thomas M. Ventura, 20, and an 18-year-old woman whose name police did not release are due in Yorktown Town Court Sept. 11 to answer petty larceny charges.

Police said the two were identified as suspects in an incident Aug. 6 at the Toys R Us. Store staff reported that a man and woman fled in a white Volkswagen after taking five video game controllers valued at $231.95.

The two voluntarily appeared at police headquarters Aug. 12, police said. They were released without bail.
