Panas boys win thriller
We thank Walter Panas boys basketball coach Shawn Sullivan for the below stats on his team's thrilling 63-61 double-overtime triumph against visiting Yorktown Jan. 10. He was also kind enough to answer a question on the brillance of Zac Preuss this season:

Coach's comment-"Through hard work and determination Zac Preuss has become one of the best guards in Section 1. He has a great 3-point shot and is capable of putting it on the floor to score. I have never seen a player improve so much between his junior and senior year. We are very luck he plays for Panas."
Sailors win in boys hoops
Led by 24 points from Elijah Coleman and 16 points from Kyle Monk, defeated host Haldane 70-56 Jan. 10.

It was a busy night locally on Jan. 10 as Peekskill defeated host Hendrick Hudson 61-52 and Walter Panas overcame host Yorktown 39-26.
